Meet the Talent
Nikki - Owner
Nikki has been cutting hair since 2010, focusing on men only for the past decade. With a strong passion for her talent, she holds high confidence that she can make anyone happy that sits in her chair. Her specialization is in clipper cuts and longer styles. She uses a special tool called a feather razor to achieve a natural cut with lots of texture.
When she is not behind the chair, Nikki is spending her time with her energetic two year old daughter and focusing on her peace and happiness.
Kate - Manager
Kate has been cutting hair since 2014, specializing in men’s hair cuts for over 8 years. Clipper cuts are her thing but making sure you walk out of salon with the best look achievable is her goal every time! When she’s not cutting behind the chair, you can find her hanging out with her fur baby, potentially having a glass of Prosecco and always watch Bravo.
Anna - Manager
(Rhymes with sauna, not Montana)
Anna has been cutting men’s hair exclusively since 2007. Since then she’s seen many trends and learned a variety of techniques, but if she had to pick a favorite it would be medium & long styles where she can use her expertise with shears and the feather razor. Anna is grateful and proud to have clients of 15+ years, but loves the opportunity to make new clients look and feel their best. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to describe what you want. Anna is a great listener and can translate anything into a fantastic cut!
Renata
Renata has been cutting men's hair for well over 20 years. She is a master at her skill and is even been an American Crew Educator for the past 15 years. She listens carefully to deliver exactly what you're looking for.
When she is outside of the shop she is home with her three loving children and baking the most delicious bread.
Suegee
Suegee has been with Groom since 2023, but cutting hair since 2021. Even though she is "new" to the induestry, her skills speak otherwise! She likes cutting longer hair- helping people find that 'flow', or she can cut it short n' sweet and finish with a little razzle dazzle. "One hair cut doesn't fit all, everything can be customized"
Alyssa
Alyssa has been in the industry since 2012 and focused as a barber since 2018. Her expertise ranges from classic haircuts like scissor cuts and fades to creative styles such as mullets, and edgy haircut. She is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for clients of all genders. When not doing hair , Alyssa loves spending time with her two dogs, traveling, and going to concerts with her husband.
Guillermo
With 23+years in the the hair industry, Guillermo has mastered a wide range of hair techniques including anything from short to long hairstyles. With his creative skills, he can deliver that customized look that suits your needs. His specialties include: textured cuts, color blending, scissor cuts, long cuts, beard trims, and facial waxing. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling the world, sampling international cuisine, attending theatre & concerts, and shopping for unique finds.
April
April's passion for the hair industry began at a young age, and she is proud to say she's been a licensed professional for over 22 years, working in three cities - most prominently in Chicago. She specializes in haircuts, styling, and barbering, offering a wide range of services from precision fades and razor cuts to beard trims and styles for all hair textures. She is up to date with modern trends while honoring timeless techniques. She believes that while hair doesn’t define us, it’s a powerful form of self-expression-why not wear it like art?
Outside the salon, she practices yoga weekly. It keeps her grounded and enhances her focus through meditation and self-awareness, which flows into everything she does - personally and professionally.
Maksym
Maksym has been a barber for over 11 years, starting his career in top barbershops across Ukraine. In 2018, he earned the title of “Best Barber” in Ukraine. He holds a Master’s degree in Hair Design from Kyiv University of Culture and brings precision, creativity, and deep expertise to every cut.
Ashley
Ashley has been in the industry for over ten years. As our newest member to the team we are very excited to have such a talented stylist join us from the suburbs...her new start in the city. if you need a clean clipper cut, shes your girl, but also excels in all styles of haircuts.
